Experience

Web Developer / Translator (2004 – 2006)

I worked at International Translators s.à.r.l, a leading translation agency in Morocco, I created and maintained the agency website, at first the website was supporting French only, but as soon as it started to get a descent number of visitors and attract clients I added support for English, later – in collaboration with co-working translators, I added more languages.

In addition to performing common updates and fixes, I was in charge of dealing with international clients who contacted the agency through its website.

I was also assigned to translate most of IT related documents (those to be translated into Arabic).

Freelance Web Developer / Translator (2006 – present)

As of mid 2006 I started working as a freelancer and created and maintained my own websites:

  • I worked on minor PHP and HTML jobs on freelancer.com
  • I worked on IT related translation jobs on proz.com and translatorscafe.com
  • 2006: I launched “Maroc Best Business”, a free Moroccan classifieds service powered by a custom script written from scratch (URI: http://www.marocbb.com/)
  • 2007: I launched “Virtual-CC”, an e-commerce where people can buy virtual credit cards, I integrated Liberty Reserve with instant email notifications and payment validation (URI: http://www.virtual-cc.com/)
